Invisalign® What to Expect
The Invisalign® Process
A thorough oral health exam and bite analysis will help Dr. Hassan determine if you are a good candidate for Invisalign®. Your treatment will begin with Dr. Hassan taking digital images using sophisticated CAD/CAM technology at his Centreville, VA dentist office. These images will be used to accurately plan your treatment and create a series of clear aligners.
Once your series of custom, clear aligners are made, Dr. Hassan will give you instructions on how to wear them. The number of aligners and length of your Invisalign® treatment will depend on the problem(s) being addressed and desired result. The typical Invisalign® treatment lasts for about 12 months and each set of aligners is worn for approximately two weeks.
Your last aligner will be a retainer, which should be worn as directed each day to keep your teeth from shifting and maintain results.
